Maximising Your Blog’s Reach: The Ultimate Guide to Reciprocal Backlinking

Thinking of starting a blog? You'll want to know where to publish your blog first off to get backlinks.

Backlinking is a great way to get more reach for a blog. This is our list of favourite blog submission sites that you can register your new blog on for a free reciprocal back link.

These sites will publish your new blog in the directory in their relevant sub category for your niche. This will be like the very first publish of your blog to the wider world.

The blog submission links below all have a high DA and are currently free to submit to (at the time of writing). Anything over 50 is a good domain authority to have. For example:

  1. Blog Flux has a domain authority of 50 so it's a good place to list your blog.

2. Blogarama has a domain authority of 53

In the competitive world of blogging and SEO, creating high-quality content is just one part of the equation. To drive traffic and build authority, you need a robust backlink strategy. One effective method is reciprocal backlinking, where you exchange links with other bloggers or website owners. This can help boost your blog’s visibility and SEO rankings. In this guide, we’ll explore the best places and methods to list your blog for reciprocal backlinks.

What is Reciprocal Backlinking?

Reciprocal backlinking involves mutually agreeing to link to each other's content. This strategy can help both parties increase their website authority and drive more traffic.

However, it’s essential to approach this method thoughtfully to avoid being penalised by search engines for link schemes.

Best Practices for Reciprocal Backlinking

  1. Focus on Quality Over Quantity: Prioritise quality and relevance when selecting reciprocal linking partners. Links from high-authority and relevant sites will be more beneficial for your SEO.

  2. Avoid Overuse: Don’t rely solely on reciprocal linking. Diversify your backlink strategy with other methods like guest blogging, influencer outreach, and content marketing.

  3. Follow SEO Guidelines: Ensure that your reciprocal linking strategy complies with SEO best practices and guidelines to avoid penalties from search engines.

  4. Build Genuine Relationships: Focus on building genuine relationships with other bloggers and webmasters. A strong network can lead to more valuable and natural backlink opportunities.

You'll want to get your blog published in as many high quality places as possible. In brief, getting your blog 'out there' is the first hurdle to having a successful blog. And you'll want a successful blog because there is cash to be made. Of course you'll need good content and informed blog posts or articles, but that kind of goes without saying. Once you've got the quality content, and you're consistent with creating quality content - you'll need traffic. There's no point in writing amazing pieces that simply never get seen. And that's where Google comes in. And Google likes good SEO + Backlinks.

Are blogs important for seo? A successful blog relies on good SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) to be picked up by google and then seen by relevant readers for what you're actually writing about. So a good blog will need good SEO to rank well, and the more quality blog posts that you produce for your blog that are also optimised well, in turn help your blogs overall SEO.

So, quality content + good SEO are important for any successful blog. One of the key performers in any good SEO plan is creating good quality backlinks for your blog or website. Getting backlinks is one of the hardest parts of SEO (in my opinion) because you have to physically ask for them, which can go unread. You can also guest write for other blogs, but creating these relationships takes time. There are many ways that you can get backlinks for your new blog and i'll probably do another post dedicated purely for all the ways to generate quality backlinks for your blog. The quickest way to take you from zero to double figures in terms of how many backlinks you have, is by submitting your blog to blog submission sites UK and abroad, which will link through to your blog.

This isn't anywhere near the amount you'll want / need, but it's a good starting point.

You'll want to find websites and blog submission sites that have a high DA (Domain Authority) with google and work on getting your blog listed on these sites. My list above is the best list of blog submission sites that have decent to high DA and won't hinder your blog ranking, and will generate backlinks for your new blog.

I would recommend registering with 2 submission sites per day to avoid looking spammy and organically grow your backlinks through creating amazing posts. By the end of the month submitting your blog in this way will generate you those much needed backlinks and you can watch your ranking increase over time.

Conclusion

Reciprocal backlinking can be a powerful strategy to boost your blog’s visibility and SEO rankings. By listing your blog in relevant directories, engaging with blog networks and communities, leveraging social media platforms, and exploring guest blogging opportunities, you can find valuable reciprocal linking partners. Remember to focus on quality and relevance to maximise the benefits of your backlinking efforts.

Happy linking and blogging!

FLETCH - BE NOTHING LIKE

Hey you! My name is Fletch, a Northern girl from the UK, living with the love of my life (aka Mr Be Nothing Like) and our 2 children, Lilly + Bertie Boo. We're about to embark on some big life moves, selling our things to move to the other side of the world, Bali, Indonesia to live a high vibe life of our dreams. You can find me in coffee shops working on my business (which runs passively), while researching on Instagram what to make for dinner. And at home (as I really am a home girl), world schooling my children, doing yoga, meditating, being in nature. I created this blog to share everything I have learnt about creating a freedom life. A life of your dreams, through harnessing energy + vibration to create a life where you feel happy, balanced, successful and free. A life you deserve. A life that you love. There is another way. I'm sharing everything that I know.
