The Most Instagram-able Smoothie Bowls in Bali
A must visit breakfast spot in Ubud, Bali, for the prettiest and most Instagrammable smoothie bowls in Bali... dare I say it... the world! And it's completely kid friendly, with rainbow juices, cakes, a gelato counter next door, and a huge menu of other food options for breakfast, lunch, dinner that all looks too pretty to eat.

It's no secret that we love a smoothie bowl around here. You only need to look at our socials to see a gazillion pictures of pretty colourful bowls. Follow the Be Nothing Like Instagram here. And my camera roll is one long smoothie bowl roll. WE are that family in a cafe taking photos of their smoothie bowls. And I'll never stop.
Never happier than when he's eating
One of the big pulls for our big move to Bali was it's abundance of fresh and exotic fruit. Anything that is grown in the sun absorbs the suns light energy and is one of the most high frequency foods you can eat. We're all about raising the body's energetic frequency. And so the smoothie bowl sits in high regard in this household.
To keep living costs down for our family of 4 living in Bali, we mostly make our own breakfast smoothie bowls at home, fresh every morning. Check out my everyday easy Superfood Pitaya Bowl recipe that I make in Bali, for a fast, easy healthy, yummy, breakfast for all the family.
We take a 5 min walk to the market to pick up the days freshest fruit, then have supplies and toppings from a local organic store to hand, to get creative with our homemade bowls in the kitchen. There's a knack to the old smoothie bowl, I'm not going to lie, and my first few attempts where sloppy messes. My smoothie bowl failure's made me cry. More on this another time. It was an emotional time. But I now have an awesome go to Dragon Fruit Smoothie bowl recipe that I make every single morning, that definitely deserves a spot on the blog at some point.
Take a walk to the local market with me to buy our daily fruit and save money whilst we're at it. Let's go...
See the blog post on how we save £200 a month on our family of 4 food budget in Bali.
Homemade is good. Homemade is wonderful and most importantly homemade is CHEAP. It's so cheap to eat out in Bali, but we're not on holiday and so we are budgeting, like we would in the UK. The budget goes a lot further in Bali that it does in the UK, and we eat out most evenings, but breakfast is one of the meals that we wanted to help the budget with and for the convenience of being at home in the mornings, it means the kids can wake when their bodies are ready and theres no mad rush to get out of the house for food... or anything... since we worldschool / homeschool.
BUT Sunday was an exception. Our little Mr Boo turned 8! And since food is the way to his little beating heart, we planned a total foodie day for him.
A day of experiences over plastic toys, to give him/us memories forever. Experiences over things. Where every meal was special. And first up, was breakfast - and a trip to Blend Cafe (his choice), Ubud (Gianyar) to try one of Bali's best smoothie bowls.
Pretty smoothie bowl breakfast at Blend
More like little works of art, Blend create THE MOST INSTAGRAMMABLE SMOOTHIE BOWLS that you've ever seen. Definitely worth a trip if you love pretty instagrammable things like myself. I do love cheapy mccheapsville, don't get me wrong, I'm a serial budgeter, but I'm sharing THE BEST PLACES TO GO IN BALI... and for the smoothie bowl, I've not found anything quite like the Smoothie Bowls at Blend Cafe.
Some of our favourite pictures from Blend's Instagram (go follow them here for behind the scenes makings of smoothie bowls and their cafe vibes):
Works of art or smoothie bowls?
Have you ever seen a smoothie bowl that's prettier in you're whole life? The Coffee was great too (it always is in Bali). The smoothie bowls are huge and very filling. All 4 of us couldn't finish our bowls, so that's one thing to remember if you hate waste.
We didn't try any other food, but saw breakfasts on other tables, which looked equally as pretty: things like smashed avo on sourdough, organic juices and the like. A breakfast spot we'll be sure to visit again.
I also picked up some all natural Parasite Cleanse Capsules whilst I was there too, which I've just started taking. They offer other herbal offerings in their cafe, which I plan to try.
Blend Menu: I didn't take a photo of their menu and have messaged them to add here.
