The best lightweight beach towel for kids is always going to be rainbow for my kids as they are rainbow mad. Travelling as a family of 4 sometimes 5 with big chunky cumbersome towels is a pain in the bum. Damp and heavy. Stuffed into bags with the straps ripping into sun touched shoulders. No thank you very much.

This Rainbow beach towel is Bertie's because he loves RAINBOWS! It comes in a little bag too, which you can give your kid to carry his/her own flippin towels to the beach! They're so light & dinky that they won't moan you to death about this. At least in our case.

Towels take up so much room in a backpack, suitcase or even the daily beach bag - they are heavy and bulky and take up too much room. Especially if travelling light with limited space.

Unless we are going to a resort where towels are included, which isn't always the case, we always travel with our beach towels anyway. We love our super light, super absorbent, neat packers, lightweight Dock & Bay beach towels for ourselves and the kids. And they look stylish too. We are never caught short without a towel for that impromptu beach find or a quick dip. We love our stylish little towels.

These are not fluffy just out of the bath towels. So don't expect plush towels. They're not. They are made out of a thin cotton. But don't be fooled it will dry you and hung out in the sun these towels dry super quickly like crisp freshly washed cotton sheets. They wash fast. Dry fast and are perfect for travelling to the beach and pool though or a surface to sit on when picnicking etc.

We use XL for all of our towels, even the kids, as we like them big. We like a nice big wrap around us.

From a total mum perspective: they don't get sand stuck on them, they wash really well and have lasted us 5 years so far, and counting. In fact they look just like new and we won't be replacing them any time soon. The handy matching bag they come in is cute and sometimes is all Bertie carries with him down to the beach with his lip protector and small beach necessities inside.
