To establish some kind of normality and routine for the kids, we try to structure the week as much as we can do living island life. Monday - Thursday are the days where we are mainly home based. Although we do pop out and have much more outdoor life than we did back in the UK. And we do have 2 of those 'home' days where we finish up early and head to the beach late afternoon. Overall Monday to Thursdays are spent at home learning / working and just being. Spending time together as a family but all hitting out goals for the week and achieving so we can enjoy the time off feeling fulfilled and accomplished. It's very easy living island life to do NOTHING. So we have a little structure and routine wit a daily life plan.
I should do a blog post on a normal day in Bali Living in Bali with kids as it is pretty standard and normal and dare I say it quite boring really. But weekends are for having fun! But instead of being stuck in the house because the weather is so crap (like we were in the UK), the kids stuck on their devices (because even though we had good intentions to get out and about, because did I mention.... the weather is so crap) we wake up in Bali to the sun streaming through the windows. This gives us the zest for life to get up and seize the day and have a really good weekend. And this weekend we took a trip to the famous Hatch markets in Uluwatu for a bit of retail therapy.
Come and browse amazing handcrafted goods and artwork from regional Balinese vendors with us. We're exploring the markets of Bali and as we're in Uluwatu at the moment, what better place to start with Hatch Sundaze Sunday Market.
Support the community while enjoying live music from talented local musicians, a kids corner for the little ones and a BBQ to give you fuel for the day.
Where is the Hatch Sunday Markets in Bali?
You don't need to make a reservation to visit the Sunday market, just turn up. But be prepared to have your bags searched at the door, and leave any food and drink (other than water) at the entrance) as we did because we had our beach picnic with us)
